'We can't stop the waves, but we can learn to surf!'
Jon Kabat Zin

We live in stressful times with more and more demands on our time and energy and more to think about than ever before. In these times we need a reliable way of bringing ourselves out of autopilot and touching in with the peace, trust and strength within us. Mindfulness has been scientifically proven to lower stress levels, increase joy and gratitude and reduce depression, anxiety and disconnect.

I have over a decade of mindfulness experience and specialise in helping my fellow humans to reconnect to our true selves, to find peace and calm in a frantic world and to reconnect with and re-appreciate the wonders of the world around us.

In this half day of mindfulness we will walk in nature and share food mindfully. We will learn to meditate (or deepen our practice)- with guidance on how to work with difficult thoughts and emotions whilst staying present and resourced. We will learn effective and helpful ways to get out of our thinking minds and into the trust and safety of the feeling body, and leave with a collection of techniques that can improve and enhance our everyday experience of being in the world.

And most importantly of all- we will have the opportunity to connect with the landscape and our fellow humans in a gentle, supportive and nurturing space.

Testimonials

"The workshop met many needs: my curiosity, connection, insight, rest, stimulation and learning".

"Deeply nourishing practices for body, mind and spirit; held with spaciousness and care".
The class is suitable for everyone- experienced mindfulness practitioners and complete beginners alike.   I am a trauma sensitive practitioner and all participants will be held in safety and compassion, with full choice in how much to participate.

about me

I am a mind-body health practitioner and mindfulness teacher, with a practice deeply rooted in compassion and the beauty of the Scottish landscape. I specialise in helping people to resolve their chronic pain, fatigue and other symptoms caused by stress illness and nervous system dysregulation such as anxiety and depression through my deeply compassionate approach grounded in science and my own experience of healing. Life can be a challenge and learning how to 'surf the waves' and live with greater peace and enjoyment is the most special gift we can offer ourselves.

We all have incredibly rich resources within us and can all benefit from developing a loving relationship with our bodies, thoughts and emotions- it's my mission to help and support you to learn how.
