Have you ever felt stuck or stressed emotionally but unable to ‘figure it out’? Logically you ‘should’ feel okay … and yet …….
We spend much of our time in our heads, trying to work it all out, and yet we are somatic beings who hold and store our emotions and stress in our bodies. Without a reliable means of releasing and processing these emotions they get stuck, causing nervous system dysregulation leading to physical and emotional distress. We cannot think (or talk) our way out of nervous system dysregulation- so what is the answer? Emotional embodiment!
Getting into the body can release the stuck stress and unprocessed emotions from deep within ourselves, processing unfelt emotions, past hurt, trauma and stress stored deep in the body, ultimately healing us from the inside out. In this introductory masterclass I will touch on the science and theory behind emotional embodiment, and introduce a range of tools such as meditation and parts work, gentle movement, journalling and self enquiry. We will have a chance to experience emotional embodiment in a safe and compassionate environment, with a range of supportive, practical techniques to use at home.

The class is suitable for everyone- you may be experiencing anxiety or depression, chronic pain or fatigue, or other chronic symptoms of nervous system dysregulation. Or you may simply wish to deepen your mind body connection and knowledge. I am a trauma sensitive practitioner and all participants will be held in safety and compassion, with full choice in how much to participate.
about meI am a mind-body coach and mindfulness teacher, specialising in helping people heal from chronic symptoms caused by stress illness and nervous system dysregulation. I healed from 8-9 years of severe fatigue, ME/CFS, chronic IBS, migraine and PoTS through emotional embodiment, going from being mostly housebound and using a wheelchair to living life fully again- my favourite things to do now include loch swimming and mountain biking! I had tried everything before finding this work, and couldn’t believe the power in coming home to the body for healing which has gone far beyond resolving my physical symptoms. We can all benefit from a rich friendship with our bodies and it’s now my mission to show you how.
