The three principles
The world of mind body health can be confusing- there are so many techniques and approaches and we can get overwhelmed and unsure about where to start. My approach is based around three principles:
1. Meeting ourselves where we are. Not where we want to be or where we think we should be, but right here, right now. I see you as an individual and meet you where you are. You are not broken and your body is working hard for you- I teach you how to listen so it no longer has to shout.
2. Keeping it simple. We are bombarded by advice and information and live in our incredibly busy minds. The nervous system heals in simplicity and ease, so I keep things simple and easy to understand, applying one technique at a time, building bodily understanding and layering when your nervous system is ready. In this way we build safety and trust in the body and as I always say- go slower to heal faster!
3. Connection and community. We all need connection and community in order to heal- I have seen the incredible power of this in my group healing programmes, workshops and retreats and build this into everything I do to help you feel more connected and at home.
My approach is one of deep compassion as we work together to bring you back to life. I understand that your primary goal is to resolve your physical symptoms and feel better- and that's my goal too- but that is just the beginning and I want much more for you! A recovery journey is an opportunity to truly heal on a deep level- transforming triggers and past conditioning, healing the inner child and moving into ease and freedom. All of this is possible, and if you are curious enough to have got this far then I know you have already begun!
"Louise has been an invaluable ally in my pain recovery journey. She demonstrates great insight into my situation and is able to offer very practical and effective responses to my needs. I would not have achieved the improvements in my condition without her .”
