MINDFULNESS FOR HEALTH- 8 week course
" As long as you are breathing, there is more that is right with you than wrong with you, no matter how ill or desperate you may feel. " Jon Kabat Zin, Full Catastrophe Living
Living with chronic pain and/or illness can cause great suffering, but it doesn't have to be that way. In clinical trials, mindfulness has been proven to be at least as effective as the most commonly prescribed painkillers and can be more powerful than morphine. Mindfulness can also greatly reduce the secondary suffering of anxiety, depression and stress which can go along with chronic pain and illness. My approach is deeply understanding and compassionate, drawing from both my personal experience of many years of severe ill health and subsequent recovery, as well as the latest science and research on mindfulness for health approaches.
